The Treasury is among the key Bank departments, it is responsible for successful operations of the Bank and for client servicing.
One of the principal roles of the Treasury is to maintain liquidity necessary for general Bank operations. Modern treasuries have outgrown mere liquidity management and so the Hypo Alpe-Adria-Bank Treasury also manages the Bank's currency and interest rate position while also trading securities and other derivative instruments, both on the local and on all world capital markets, with a view to earning and managing risks.

The Treasury is in direct contact with clients through its sales department, which enables their direct access to the Croatian and international financial markets.
